Product Description

  • EZ ModLock – 2 Door Timer is the ideal solution for the simple 2 doors “mantrap” applications, such as gowning rooms, Material Air Lock (MAL), and Personnel Airlock (PAL), where the doors are normally unlocked and a time delay is required prior to opening. 
  • EZ ModLock – 2 Door Timer can manage manual swing doors, manual sliding doors, or even a static Pass Through. For automatic doors, use the EZ ModLock – Multi Door Access.
  • The interactive LEDs on the module indicate real-time door status, electric lock status as well as the door indictator status. The EZ ModLock – 2 Door Timer module can manage any 24VDC failsafe electric lock. 
  • The only applicable logic for a 2 door “mantrap” is logic “L1,” (also known as “room logic”), which means that any time one of the doors is open, the other door’s lock will be actuated. 
  • The adjustable time delay allows classified spaces to be reconditioned to specification after a door opening and closing. Once a door in the system is closed, both the door locks will actuate and only unlock after a time delay (settable from 0 to 60 sec.). On the rear of the module is a rotary timer switch and 2 DIP switches to set the desired door open/close scenario – the user can select if both or only 1 door generates the time delay.
  • Every module ships with 2 dry contact relay outputs that replicate door status and can be connected to the digital inputs of a Building Management System (BMS) for the monitoring and analysis of door operations.
